Hybrid SUVs 2011

It is really hard to keep up with the ever increasing number of new cars that are being introduced every year. Here, I will try to list all the cars that belong to a currently very small category, the Hybrid SUVs and only the 2011 models. Currently to my knowledge, only 10 cars fit in this category. Let's take a look at them.

The 2011 Lexus RX 450h is a hybrid luxury midsize SUV that offers great fuel economy. Its MPG of 32 City/28 Highway is one of the best you can find in this category. However, it is a bit pricey with a base MSRP of $44,735. Nonetheless, it offers, a luxurious interior and as reviewers say a very smooth ride. It is also equipped with all the latest safety tech gadgets you can ask for.

The 2011 Ford Escape Hybrid is the Hybrid SUV that currently offers the best gas mileage with an MPG of up to 34 city / 31 highway. It sports a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine that produces a horsepower of 177 hp @ 6000 rpm. Reviewers note that it has plenty of high-tech features and great performance. Its base MSRP is $30,570.

The 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid is not the most fuel efficient hybrid SUV with an MPG rating of 20 City / 23 Highway. However that is an almost 25% higher rating compared to the conventional gas only 2011 Tahoe and lets not forget that it is a full-size SUV that can seat up to 8 passengers. The 6.0L V8 engine that powers the Tahoe offers plenty of power. Its base MSRP is $51,145.
